The most famous feisty redheaded orphan is about to make her debut in Haslemere when Annie hits the stage at the Haslemere Hall. With a talented cast, carefully picked from a record number of 80 hopefuls, a host of familiar and much loved songs and one very cute dog (yes, we have a real four legged professional acting cast member) Annie has all the right stuff to be a rip-roaring show.
Trapped in a New York Depression-era orphanage run by the horrible Miss Hannigan, spirited Annie and her scruffy canine companion, Sandy, come into good fortune by a twist of fate. Annie is chosen by Grace, the secretary for Warbucks, to be guests at his 5th Avenue mansion for the Christmas holidays. As Annie and Warbucks get to know each other, the self made billionaire caves in to the little girl’s pluck and courage and offers a $50k reward to help Annie find her parents. With information supplied by Miss Hannigan, her no good brother Rooster and his girlfriend Lily pretend to be Annie’s parents, but will the despicable trio succeed in getting the dough.....
Boasting one of Broadway’s most memorable scores, including It’s the Hard-Knock Life, Easy Street, N.Y.C. and the ever-optimistic Tomorrow, Annie is a delightful theatrical experience for the entire family.
