We are thrilled to be bringing the iconic Evita to The Haslemere Hall in October this year.
With one of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s greatest scores, combining Latin, Jazz and Pop influences to evoke the spirit of Argentina, Evita is one of the most popular musicals of all time, with songs including Don’t Cry for Me Argentina, Oh What a Circus, Buenos Aires, You Must Love Me and Another Suitcase in Another Hall.
As well as having great principal roles, Evita is a fantastic show for chorus, with plenty of chorus songs, lots of dancing, and also several smaller roles. The members of the chorus represent the people of Argentina: the workers, the army, the aristocracy, all of whom played a central role in the true story of Evita.
The parts of Eva, Peron and Che have already been cast but on Sunday 9 June we are holding auditions as follows:
The second round of auditions will take place at The Grove (NOT The Hall!) and we invite you to audition for the following:
- 10:30am Magaldi and Mistress
- 11:00 Small solo and ensemble roles – please come along for a short audition if you are interested in playing a small solo or small ensemble role. Please note that these solo/ensemble auditions are informal and will help us to cast each scene/song as we go through rehearsals – you don’t have to come to the auditions to be in the show!
- 11:30 Children – we are looking for three girls aged 9-11 approx to sing in Santa Evita (Act 2), including solo/trio. The children will also appear in one or two earlier scenes.
